SBP Bank Holiday Bank Holiday to be Observed in Pakistan on 3rd January 2022.
What is SBP Bank Holiday?
Every year, several days are announced as bank holidays in Pakistan by State bank of Pakistan. Although Banks remain closed on these days for the public dealing , but the bank employees have to attend office to perform work as normal routine day in order to perform official tasks.

The bank holidays correspond to New Year’s Day, the first day of Ramadan and half-year closing at the start of July.
State Bank of Pakistan announces the holiday with notification on its official website https://www.sbp.org.pk/
As per State Bank of Pakistan ERD/M&PRD/PR/01/2021–152 Dated 30 December 2021.
“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on Monday, January 3, 2022,
which will be observed as ‘Bank Holiday’. All banks / DFIs / MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed
for public dealing on the aforementioned date. However, employees of banks / DFIs / MFBs
will attend the office as usual”
However on Bank holiday customer may use ATM machines or can perform transaction by using online banking as per normal routine.
