FIA Blocked Bank Account’s associated to Crypto Currency Trading in Pakistan.

FIA has seized banks accounts of people found in dealing of Crypto Currency Trading .

How many Individuals Accounts  dealing Crypto Currency Trading were blocked

As per the details FIA has blocked the bank accounts of around 1,604 individuals who were involved in 2,923 transaction through different online exchanges mainly Binance, Coin Base and Coimama.

The decision to take action against all these 1,604 individuals were taken on the request of Cyber Crime reporting center (CCRS) in Islamabad, which registered an inquiry under RE-955/2021 against these 1,064 individuals 2 months back.

It has also been known that the value of the transactions was Rs 51 million.

Not only this the Credit Cards used during the Cryptocurrency trading were also being blocked by particular banks.

FIA has been scrutinizing the transactions linked to crypto trading since few months and now it has started taking action against the individual involved in it by seizing their bank account.
State Bank of Pakistan in 2018 though a Circular/notification already warned individual’s to refrain from investing in Virtual Currency
