Traders ended Strike after negotiation with FBR

Islamabad: Traders ended Strike from the much anticipated strike after Federal Board of Revenue give them assurance and removed confusion about Tax laws (Third Amendment) Ordinance 2021.

It has been known that a delegation comprised of small traders led by resident Markazi Tanzeem-e-Tajiran Pakistan Kashif Chaudhary had earlier announced  a  strike for September 27th (Yesterday).

While addressing a press conference at the FBR headquarters along with union’s president, Qaiser Iqbal, Member (Inland Revenue-Operation). said that the point of sale would not apply to small traders and there would also be no new tax on electricity bills.

Mr.Qaiser made it clear that FBR had no issues with those who are already paying taxes, however all these measures are taken against those who are not paying taxing. He further clarified that FBR would always take the traders on board to resolve their issues.

It has been further learnt that the income tax bill shall not be applicable on small trader’s.

Small traders were being misled and the FBR would continue to resolve issue through dialogue. process with small traders .

Kashif chaudhary while ending the protest elaborated that we had some misunderstanding which has been addressed by FBR and therefore there is no confusion now.

He further added traders want to pay there tax and will on playing their due role to strengthen countries Business industry which will ultimately result in uplifting Pakistan’s economy.
